Your Cold Cast Porcelain collectible is fragile, so take good care of it. Put it some place sturdy and safe.

One of the main issues for collectors that display their cold cast porcelain pieces is dust. Dust attracts oils and other contaminants from the air that will eventually cause discolouring if left unchecked.

How do you remove dust without wrecking your piece?
Cold-cast porcelain is coated with clear polyurethane. The best care for it is to just dust it with an untreated cloth or feather, using no cleaning chemicals. A feather is especially good for getting into tight, hard to reach places, for instance. Don't spray dusting chemicals on wooden bases either, because they may splatter onto the sculpture itself. If the porcelain gets a dirty fingerprint on it, wipe it with a clean, white damp cloth (damp with water, not chemicals). If the stain is persistent, use a tiny bit of Ivory Liquid on the damp white cloth, then wipe again with a clean damp white cloth, then wipe dry. Don't use anything colored on it. Never display your cold-cast porcelain in direct sunlight.
