There NEVER was a woman like Gilda!
This image solidified Rita Hayworth’s love goddess image. The Jean Louis gown
and trailed fur were used to recreate a scene from the film. This image is often
mistakenly thought to be from the "Put the Blame on Mame" scene, where Hayworth
wore a strapless dress, long black gloves and did a "mock" strip tease. The
striking black and white graphics, combined with subtle slashes of red and
silver, are indicative of the typical brooding mid-late 40s film noir. The
attitude is all Hayworth!
