 Love Happens, formerly known as Brand New Day and Traveling, is a 2009 romantic drama film, directed by Brandon Camp and starring Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Aniston. Filming took place in in Vancouver, Canada and Seattle, Washington. It was released on September 18, 2009.

Plot

A romantic drama about a widower (Eckhart) whose book, "A-Okay!", about coping with loss turns him into a best-selling self-help guru. On a business trip to Seattle, he falls for a woman (Aniston) who attends one of his seminars, only to learn that he hasn't yet truly confronted his wife's passing.

 Lawsuit
On September 15th, 2009, a lawsuit was filed by two writers claiming that the film's premise was stolen from them, seeking an injunction against its release or $100,000,000.

Reception

The film received generally negative reviews from critics.  Rotten Tomatoes reported that 18% of critics gave positive reviews based on 61 reviews with an average score of 3.9/10.  Another review aggregator, Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating from reviews of mainstream critics, gave the film an average score of 35% based on 23 reviews.

On its opening weekend, the film opened #4 behind I Can Do Bad All By Myself, The Informant, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs respectively with $8.5 million. As of September 20, the film grossed $8,456,000.
