Albion/Film Swords is proud to announce that they have obtained
the license to recreate this famous sword from the 1999 Paramount major motion
picture, Sleepy Hollow.
Only one steel original sword was made for the film -- fiberglass or resin stunt
props were produced for most scenes.
At long last, we can bring to collectors an authentic and functional recreation
of this dramatic piece -- certainly one of the most recognizable weapons in film
history after the swords from Conan The Barbarian.
The Limited Edition Sleepy Hollow Hessian Sword, in an edition of 1,000
pieces worldwide, is now available.
The Sleepy Hollow Hessian Sword features an antiqued cast steel guard and
pommel, "steel" color-matched resin grip, and red genuine garnet gemstone eyes.
The blade is hand-ground and polished from durable 1075 steel, with all of the
science of swordmaking built in by the talented swordmakers at Albion. Each
blade is hand heat-treated in the Albion Forge Shop for maximum durability and
flexibility.
Each sword will be numbered and will come with a certificate of authenticity.
Each sword is shipped in a wooden box. The sliding wooden top of
the box can be replaced with glass or plexiglass to make a perfect shadowbox
display for your sword.
