Transfomers star Shia LaBeouf is set to star as Indiana Jones’ adult son in the upcoming sequel. I’m not kidding! Read on:
With the long-in-development Indiana Jones IV finally set to go before cameras this year for a May 22, 2008 release, an interesting — and, to some fans, troubling — new rumor has surfaced online. The sequel will reportedly provide the aging globe-trotting archaeologist (played by Harrison Ford) with an adult son!
Claiming to have heard the rumor from “pretty reliable places,” Ain’t It Cool News says that “Shia La Beouf will play the son of Indiana Jones.” LatinoReview.com also heard the Shia/Indy IV rumor; in fact, they claim La Beouf almost revealed as much during a recent trip to New York City.
La Beouf, 20, will next be seen in the thriller Disturbia and in the big-screen version of Transformers, exec produced by Indy IV director Steven Spielberg.
IGN checked with a key Indy IV source who would not comment on the casting rumor, or even confirm or deny whether or not Indiana Jones has a son in the film.
