30 years ago, I had the privilege to see Elizabeth Taylor starirng as Regina Giddens in The Little Foxes at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Before the audience was permitted into the theatre, I left three dozen multi-colored roses with her wardrobe woman. Six of the roses were appropriately called Elizabeth Taylors due to their violet color just like her eyes. Just before a Sunday matinee, a friend and I returned to the theatre’s parking lot near the stage door. We were approached by a security guard who escorted us inside where we met Miss Taylor as she was preparing to make herself up and dress for the performance. Even without makeup, the woman was gorgeous! She autographed my friend’s book a copy of Rocky and Me which Miss Taylor wrote about her adoption of a baby chipmunk that fell out of a tree and broke both legs. She then autographed my copy of the play’s playbill on a two-page centerfold of her reading a script, wearing a woven sweater and smiling. I still have that playbill to this day. But, I was wondering how much would something like that be worth to a collector?
