IGN spoke with Oscar winner Matt Damon today about his new release The Bourne Ultimatum, during which time we asked him about the rumors that he’s up for the role of Captain James T. Kirk in J.J. Abrams’ forthcoming Star Trek reboot.

Damon’s reaction to our Star Trek inquiry will only stir the rumor mill more, especially now that Comic-Con is right around the corner and official Trek announcements are expected to be made there.
