Synopsis
14 year old Lily Owen tries to cope with her mother’s death 14 year old Lily Owen tries to cope with her mother’s death during the summer of 1964. She lives in South Carolina where racism is a difficult problem and the only woman in her life she can depend on is taken away because of her race. This is an amazing movie. I loved the book more of “The Secret Life of Bees”; it just had more to it. The performances in the movie were really good and I love seeing a different side of the beautiful Alicia Keys. I hope that she does more movies.
