“The Dark Knight” is set to return to theaters, January 2009.
The Dark Knight is coming back to theaters and IMAX on January 23, 2009, Warner Bros. announced today.
The return engagement will give audiences another chance to fully experience the acclaimed comic-to-screen adaptation the way it was intended — that’s the official line. The ulterior motive is, of course, to give the film another shot at getting noticed by Academy voters.
“The Dark Knight is a crowning achievement in every sense of the word. We wanted to provide one more opportunity for moviegoers to experience it on the big screen as it was meant to be seen,” said Dan Fellman, Warner Bros. Pictures President of Domestic Distribution.
It was not announced how widely the film would be released, but we expect that it won’t be hard to find a screening near you.
