Synopsis It’s 1954, and up-and-coming U.S. marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Shutter Island’s Ashecliffe Hospital. He’d been gunning for an assignment on the island for reasons of his own—but before long he wonders whether he hasn’t been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister.
Teddy’s code-breaking skills soon provide a promising lead, but the hospital refuses him access to records he suspects would break the case wide open. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more dangerous criminals “escape” in the confusion, and the puzzling, improbable clues proliferate, Teddy begins to doubt everything—his memory, his partner, even his own sanity.
Based on the novel “Shutter Island” by Dennis Lehane.
Will Smith’s superhero movie Hancock may have divided comic-book fans — some liked it, some not so much — but regardless it made enough cash to warrant the go-ahead on a sequel. And now director Peter Berg is saying that the first film’s stars, namely Smith and Charlize Theron, will be back for part two.
“Everybody’s going to come back for a sequel,” Berg said in response to a question about the two stars, reports MTV’s Splash Page. There’s no word on the status of Jason Bateman’s sad-sack character from the original, however.
Berg will be helming the sequel, which he says will feature the appearance of at least one more of the super-powered, god-like beings portrayed by Smith in the first film.
“We have [someone in mind for the role],” Berg tells the site. “I’m not gonna tell you who, but we have!”
While in town to announce a Winnie the Pooh movie and present brand new scenes from Toy Story 3, John Lasseter also spilled the beans about the forthcoming Cars sequel, Cars 2.
According to the Disney/Pixar maestro, he became inspired while travelling around Europe and wondering what would happen to his characters if they were placed on foreign soil.
The result is a story in which Lightning McQueen competes in the global “Race of Champions,” involving Formula One, rally and sports car races in five glamorous locations — Japan, Germany, Italy, France and finally England.
However, along the way, McQueen’s intellectually challenged buddy Mater unwittingly saves the life of Fenn McMissile, a sleek sports car who also happens to be a secret agent.
His efforts cause Fenn — and the villainous agents he is doing battle with — to think Mater is a spy, and so the racing comedy also has an action-adventure twist.
Lasseter then presented some beautiful concept art and hinted that much of the comedy will revolve around Mater being an ignorant American abroad.

Release date: Friday October 2, 2009 Genre: Documentary Running time: 120 min. Director: Michael Moore Studio: Overture Films, Alliance Films Screenplay: Rob Zombie Producer(s): Kathleen Glynn, Michael Moore Cast: Michael Moore Official Site:capitalismalovestory.com Rating:Not Yet Rated Available film art:Capitalism A Love Story movie posters
Synopsis “Capitalism: A Love Story” will explore the root causes of the global economic meltdown and take a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans that culminated in what Moore described as “the biggest robbery in the history of this country” – the massive transfer of U.S. taxpayer money to private financial institutions.
But as the political winds shifted in the months before the election — and gusted after it – Moore subtly began reorienting his movie. Instead of foreign policy, the film’s focus now is more on the global financial crisis and the U.S. economy.
“Capitalism: A Love Story” will contain an end-of-the-empire tone, say those familiar with the project, and Moore no doubt hopes that this will give it a more general feel that will untether it from a specific political moment.
