Synopsis THE HOT TICKET BRINGS KENNY CHESNEY TO THE MULTIPLEX WITH 3-D DIGITAL PRESENTATIONS OF KENNY CHESNEY: SUMMER IN 3D.
CULVER CITY, Calif., November 9, 2009—Kenny Chesney, the biggest ticket-seller of this century in any musical genre, has wrapped his latest concert tour, the Sun City Carnival. This coming spring, Sony Pictures Releasing’s special programming division, The Hot Ticket, will take audiences for another ride. For a limited engagement beginning in April 2010 in movie theatres nationwide, Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D, will give fans the chance to live the fun, the friends, the songs and the moments that make Kenny Chesney the must-see concert experience to kickoff the summer season.
With Chesney taking off the summer of 2010 from his hard core touring schedule, millions of fans can still experience the magic and thrills of his high energy performance, this time up close and as never seen before in Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D.
Commenting on the announcement, Rory Bruer, president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures Releasing, said, “Kenny Chesney is one of the most popular performers in the world, so we thought he was a great choice for a Hot Ticket presentation. If you’re a diehard Kenny Chesney fan who just couldn’t get close enough this past summer, or even if you did and want to live those songs and fun again, even closer, Kenney Chesney: Summer in 3D is the perfect way to experience the intensity even closer than the front row.”
Chesney added, “It was an amazing — and at times scary — experience to have cameras that close, in the air, in a blimp… cause they’re everywhere. But when you see what this film captures… well, even for me, who’s in the eye of the storm, I was taken aback! It has all the energy, all the thrills and even better focus on some of the most rocking nights I can imagine. If you see this, you’ve seen me in a way I’ve never been seen…”
Chesney is the most popular live music act of the 21st century, having sold over one million tickets in each of the past 8 summers and selling out stadiums in Boston, Seattle, Detroit, Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Francisco. The 4-time and reigning Country Music Association and 4-consecutive Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year has sold over 35 million records and notched 19 #1 hits, including “When the Sun Goes Down,” “Beer in Mexico,” “Living in Fast Forward,” “Summertime,” “Young,” “Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven,” “Who You’d Be Today,” “Never Wanted Nothing More,” and “Anything but Mine,” among many others. GREATEST HITS II, which debuted at #1 has already yielded the recent #1 hit “Out Last Night” and “I’m Alive,” a duet with Dave Matthews, which is currently residing in Country’s Top Ten.
The 3D footage for the movie was shot over six nights in five locations—Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Foxboro, and Indianapolis—using a total of 22 3D camera rigs. The rigs included state-of-the-art systems from 3ality Digital, which were outfitted with Sony 1500-series professional digital cameras. 3ality Digital’s advanced, fully-automated 3D camera systems are known for their sub-pixel image alignment and ability to adjust shots dynamically, making them well-suited for live events such as concerts and sports. The high image quality also reduces time spent in post-production, making immersive, 3D filmmaking no more difficult than 2D production.
Joe Thomas, director of the film, added, “Kenny is an incredible talent, whose live shows define what the concert experience should be about. This 3D movie, its production, and the access that Kenny gave to our cameras, will give his fans an unprecedented opportunity to see, up close, the true strength of this man’s attraction to the millions that have seen him live.”

Harrison Ford may be back, whip in tow, as Indiana Jones. The actor told the BBC that he, Spielberg and Lucas have come with the bones of an idea for the fifth instalment in the Indy franchise.
He said: “Steven and George and I are sort of agreed on a germ of an idea and we’re seeing what comes of it.”
Explaining the trio’s working methods, he said, “The process works like this: We come to some basic agreement and then George goes away for a long time and works on it. Then Steven and I get it in some form, some embryonic form. Then if we like it we start working with George on it and at some point down the line it’s ready and we do it.”
Paramount would doubtless like Ford and Co. to get a move on, seeing as the previous Indy-instalment Kingdom of the Crystal Skull made almost $800m worldwide.
Assuming a sequel is greenlit and takes a couple of years to make, Ford would be 70-years-old by the time Indy 5 hits cinema screens.
Hear that increasingly loud thumping sound? That’s the collective heartbeat of females everywhere racing as The Twilight Saga: Eclipse approaches. The movie’s release is still several months away, but Twilighters of all sexes and species (human, werewolf, vampire, etc.) are already foaming at the mouth. Maybe you haven’t aligned yourself with Team Edward or Team Jacob. And maybe you haven’t kept up with every Eclipse detail. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
In Eclipse, Bella Swan once again finds herself surrounded by danger as the city of Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she’s forced to choose between her love for Edward Cullen and her friendship with Jacob Black — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision she’s ever made: life or death.
The film began shooting in mid-August under the direction of David Slade (30 Days of Night, Hard Candy); he takes over the reigns from Chris Weitz. Slade worked from a script by returning scribe Melissa Rosenberg, which was of course based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling book. Principle photography officially wrapped on October 29.
Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will reprise their roles as Bella, Edward and Jacob.
Several new actors are joining the Twilight family including Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria. Howard replaces actress Rachelle Lefevre who played the character in the previous movies. Also new are Xavier Samuel as Riley, Catalina Sandino Moreno as Maria, Jack Huston as Royce King, Julia Jones as Leah, BooBoo Stewart as Seth, and Jodelle Ferland as Bree.
Continuing in the series as members of the Cullen family are Ashley Greene as Alice, Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Kellan Lutz as Emmett, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, and Jackson Rathbone as Jasper. Billy Burke also returns as Charlie Swan. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is filming on location in Vancouver, BC.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse brings back members of the Quileute Indian Nation; the classmates of Bella and Edward; and the legendary Volturi, a venerable coven of vampires who weigh and impose the laws of the vampire world. A cast list for film appears at the end of this document.
Eclipse will be the first movie in the series to be presented in IMAX. So, if you’ve ever wanted to drink in the majestic sight of a five-story high Robert Pattinson, well… here’s your chance!
The fourth and final installment in the series, Breaking Dawn, may start shooting as early as this spring. Word on the street is that Summit is mulling splitting the flick into two parts.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits North American movie theaters on June 30, 2010.
