Mystique will appear again in X-Men 4. Read on:
Rebecca Romijn made a very memorable impression in X-Men as the blue skinned and clothing free Mystique, who had the ability to mimic the appearance of anyone she wished. After an expanded and crowd pleasing role in X2, Mystique’s story seemed to come to somewhat of a conclusion in last summer’s X-Men: The Last Stand, as she was shot with the mutant “cure,” which turned her into a normal human.
Visiting the set of her new gig on the hit series Ugly Betty this week, IGN was among a group of journalists who spoke to Romijn, and the topic of her possible future in the X-Men franchise came up. “I actually don’t know what they’re planning to do with it,” said the actress. “I was signed on for three [movies], so my stint is more or less done at this point.” However, when asked if she was open to the possibility of doing another X-Men film, she replied, “Yeah, sure. We’ll see if they decide to do any more.”
