Martin Sheen Talks Underworld Future

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Underworld Rise of the Lycans DS 1 Sheet Movie Poster

Chris Tilly talks to Michael Sheen (”Frost/Nixon” and “Underworld“) about the future of the Underworld franchise.

IGN caught up with Michael Sheen this week to discuss his critically acclaimed turn in Frost/Nixon, and while chatting, the conversation turned to Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, which hits screens later this month.

The film sees his character Lucian take centre stage, and Sheen assured us that the film will look amazing, and that “people who are into the films already are not going to be disappointed.”

When discussing the future of the franchise however, there seemed to be one major issue regarding his involvement.

“The hard thing for me is that I’m playing a character who never gets any older, and I am getting older” he explained. “I was watching the new one yesterday, and it’s set before the first one, but in that first one I look a lot younger, obviously. There’s a limit as to how many times I can get away with that.”
