David Lindsay-Abaire will pen the scipt for Spider-Man 4. The award winning writer is chosen to get the franchise back on track. All Movie Replicas has a large number for Spider-man film cells from both Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 films. Each film cell is limited in number and comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
Columbia is set to hire a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer to pen Spider-Man 4, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
David Lindsay-Abaire, who won the prestigious award for his play Rabbit Hole, has secured to gig to write the third franchise sequel that is set to unite stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst and director Sam Raimi.
The choice of a high-brow screenwriter shows a determination by the studio to focus on character this time around, something many thought got lost in the messy Spider-Man 3.
Zodiac scribe James Vanderbilt previously wrote a draft of the script.
As yet plot details are still being kept tightly under-wraps.

The Spider-Man 3 soundtrack features some real heavy hitters. IGN.com reviews the soundtrack from the film. Read on:
As with most summer blockbusters Spider-Man 3 comes with its own accompanying soundtrack. Keeping in long standing tradition, it’s not so much a soundtrack as it is an album of songs “inspired” by the film. Okay, so several of the tracks are “in the film” per se, that is if you count them blasting over the end credits as being “in the film.” Let’s face it, how many of you actually stay through the credits these days? Exactly.
Despite being relegated to the end of the film, the soundtrack features a list of heavy hitters ranging from Snow Patrol to The Killers, Jet, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wolfmother, and The Flaming Lips.
The album kicks off with Snow Patrol, who continue their descent from once quirky indie band into Arena pop theatrical hell, delivering emotive and emphatic lushness that will resonate with the masses. To be fair, “Signal Fire” is engaging with its combo of piano and frontman Gary Lightbody’s plaintive vocals, but it also rings with a caught in the headlights of a passing truck blasting Coldplay type of vibe that’s pretty damn hard to ignore. Focus on the skirling guitar crush and rippling symphonic cadence and you’ll survive the impact.

Tobey Maguire stars as Spider-Man in Columbia Pictures’ Spider-Man 3.
Spider-Man 3 opens domestically Friday in 4,253 theaters, the widest release ever in North America, but the film’s already doing record-setting business in the dozen international territories where it’s already opened. It bowed Tuesday in Asia, where it has already beat Spider-Man 2’s opening day tally in both Japan and South Korea.

“Spider-Man 3 is indeed the trilogy-closer that fans have been waiting for.” Wow! That’s quite an assertion. I can’t wait for this one to open in theaters. Todd Gilchrist over at IGN has an indepth, two page review of the blockbuster movie and you don’t have to worry as there are no spoilers here (depends on what you consider a spoiler). Read on:
In Hollywood, conventional wisdom suggests that it doesn’t matter what you do with the first two-thirds of a story as long as you have a strong ending. While the commercial success of any major film series demands that the opposite be true, front-loading a franchise with its best writing, acting and filmmaking in order to draw in that elusive “everyone” demographic, Spider-Man 3 simultaneously confirms and refutes that a series — much less a single installment — need be defined by the sum of its parts. And while some audiences may register skepticism over the possibility that a third film can suitably tie up all of the loose ends, not to mention tie-in all of writer-director Sam Raimi’s ambitious ideas, IGN can confirm that Spider-Man 3 is indeed the trilogy-closer that fans have been waiting for.
Instead of the year-plus barrier that separated the first two films, Spider-Man 3 takes place almost immediately after the events of the second film. This serves an important purpose: Harry (James Franco) learned at the end of Spider-Man 2 that Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is Spider-Man, and he isn’t wasting any time trying to take down the person he believes killed his father. In the meantime, Peter has grown comfortable in his relationship with Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst), not to mention the idea that his alter-ego is an icon and hero to millions. Mary Jane, however, is struggling as an actress after receiving scathing reviews for her appearance in a new musical, and has trouble relating to Peter’s newfound confidence.
In another part of the city, escaped convict Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church) races to find a cure for his daughter’s illness, landing himself in the middle of a science experiment while trying to evade capture by the police. His transformation into the Sandman makes him a natural adversary for Spider-Man, but Peter takes the pursuit personally when he discovers that Marko may in fact be responsible for Uncle Ben’s (Cliff Robertson) death. Unfortunately, a mysterious creature that feeds off negative energy finds the erstwhile hero during a moment of weakness and attaches itself to him, sending both Peter and Spider-Man into a dark and dangerous spiral of revenge and violence.

The Spider-Man 3 soundtrack set to hit stores on May 1st. Read on:
Following in the tradition of the previous two Spider-Man soundtracks the album tie-in for Spider-Man 3 will feature a bevy of modern rock ‘n roll music, much of it recorded specially for the film.
The major differences, however, with the third film’s tie-in soundtrack is that for one it’s being released on venerable SoCal indie label Record Collection (as opposed to Sony, the label that released the previous two sonic outings) and the majority of the music is coming from decidedly more left-of-center artists this time around.
The likes of The Flaming Lips, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wolfmother, Walkmen, and others dot the album, many delivering previously unreleased songs.
The album will be released on May 1st, just three days prior to the film’s release, giving all Spidey fans plenty of time to immerse themselves in the aural blitz and get psyched for the movie itself.
The first song to be released from the album will be the Snow Patrol number “Signal Fire.” D. Sardy, best known for his work with Oasis, Jet, Wolfmother, Primal Scream, and the Cold War kids, produced the soundtrack.
