When first released in 1950, Sunset Boulevard was a critical success attracting a wide range of positive reviews from the critics. The film garnered eleven Academy Award nominations, at the 23rd Academy Awards, and it won three Oscars for: Best Writing/Story/Screenplay, Best Art Direction/Set Decoration (Black and White) and Best Music Score of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture. Sunset Boulevard is generally recognized as a classic and it is frequently referred to as one of the greatest films in American cinema. In celebration of Paramount's 100th anniversary, Paramount Pictures and Goldberg Brothers have partnered to create a line of Limited Production Series Sunset Boulevard branded home theater products.
