Synopsis:
With the hijacking of a subway train, New York City subway dispatcher, Walter Garber's (Denzel Washington) ordinary day takes a tumultuous turn. Unless they are paid a large ransom, criminal mastermind Ryder (John Travolta) and leader of a highly-armed gang of four is threatening to execute the train's passengers. In a battle to outwit Ryder and subsequently save the the hostages, Garber must use his vast knowledge of the subway system. However, there is one riddle that Graber cannot solve: "even if the thieves get the money, how can they possible escape?"
