All Movie Replicas Movie Poster Buying Guide

All Movie Replicas Movie Poster Buying Guide
This guide is created to help you make an informed decision when purchasing movie posters from All Movie Replicas.

Purchasing Original Double-Sided and Single-Sided Movie Posters:

At All Movie Replicas, we sell mint and near mint condition, original double-sided and single-sided theatrical release movie posters (in perfect unused condition). If the poster is not mint or near mint, then the ad will inform you. For the most part our original posters are mint or near mint condition. We also have original old and rare theatrical release one sheets that are also in mint condition and the prices are excellent.

When purchasing movie posters at All Movie Replicas, you will notice that our ads state whether or not the movie poster is a DS, SS 1 sheet, or movie poster print. The DS (double-sided) and SS 1 sheet (single-sided) movie posters are all original theatrical release posters - as stated in the ads for these particular products. The ads also state the condition of the posters (mint, near mint, very good etc.). Please read the ad for the particular posters carefully as the ads are created to help you (the customer) make an informed decision.

You can find the double-sided posters under the movie titles or the dedicated Double-Sided Original movie poster categories. Similarly, the old and rare original posters can also be found under the movie titles or the dedicated Old and Rare Original movie posters category.

We also retail 11" x 17" and 13.5" x 20.5" original mini posters. Anywhere that the ad states that the poster is an original - it is just that - original.

Note: Some of our original posters are reissues/releases - not reproductions. These reissue/re-release posters are still valuable collectibles (however, they are worth much less than the one sheets). We state in our ads which posters are reissues or re-release posters, so read carefully.

Reproductions are prints and have no collectible value - they will not increase in value over time.

Purchasing Movie Poster Prints:

Our movie poster prints are replica or reproduction, single-sided one sheets (we do not sell Double-sided prints). We also sell 11" x 17" masterprints and the larger subway and bus shelter posters. Note, prints are not originals. Read the ads carefully to determine if you are purchasing a print or an original poster.

Condition and Grading

All Movie Replicas uses the 6- grade system for the condition our original movie posters:

Mint:

A poster in MINT condition looks like it just came off of the press. It will have no blemishes or defects of any kind. It can be machine folded or rolled, depending on the manner in which it was originally. A poster in MINT condition commands top dollar in that title's normal price range.

Near Mint:
These posters may have minor blemishes in the border only. The artwork is in excellent condition with no blemishes whatsoever. A poster that is  in near mint condition will command slightly less than a mint condition poster.

Very Good:
These posters may have blemishes in the border and up to approximately one inch of the poster's artwork. There may be small tears in the artwork along the fold lines only. It may also have minor fading. Posters that are in very good condition will command slightly less than ones that are in Near mint condition.

Good:
These posters may have tears or small holes that measure no larger than a quarter on the outer edges of the poster's artwork. Pieces of the border may be torn or missing; there may be mild bleed-through in the outer area of the artwork; there may be mild fading. In general, a poster in good condition will have minor blemishes around the border and into the outer edges of the artwork. The major area of the artwork must be clear of any blemishes. The price of a poster in good condition generally falls in the middle to lower end of the price range for that title.

Fair:
These posters may have major blemishes that directly affect the artwork of the poster. The poster is recognizable and the artwork is primarily intact. The value of a poster in fair condition will weigh heavily on its title. If it is a rare piece, it still may command the lower end of the poster's normal price range. A poster in fair condition must be professionally restored.

Poor:
These posters will have serious blemishes or in general, in such poor shape that even the slightest handling adds to the damage. The value of a poster in poor condition will weigh heavily on its title. If it is a rare piece, it still may command the lower end of the poster's normal price range. A poster in poor condition must be professionally restored.
