Blade Runner – The Final Cut is now in select theaters and will continue making the rounds nationwide until January 2008. Blade Runner – The Final Cut will appear on DVD December 18.
Blade Runner, Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic, is back on the big screen in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary. The limited theatrical run of the completely re-mastered director’s cut, Blade Runner: The Final Cut, will take place in select cities throughout the fall/holiday season in conjunction with the DVD release of the new edition.
Sir Ridley has taken a page from George Lucas’ playbook and completely restored the film. He’s tweaked old special effects, added some new ones, and has included never-before-seen footage and extended scenes.
The flick began playing earlier this month in New York and Los Angeles and will continue to roll out nationwide through January.
